A film expert from India has lauded 2017 Fajr Int'l Fest's Film Market as well as Iran Cinema, calling the event "fantastic."
Ranchor Jumani, director of a leading distributor of films for India, said in a media interview that the sideline event to the Fajr International Fimfest, which is currently being held in Tehran,"is fantastic. It has improved. It’s very good. No complaint."
As a film distributor of Indian, Hollywood and Iranian films as well as a frequent guest of FIFF, Jumani praised Iran Cinema.
"Iranian films are doing well all over the world. They are doing things differently," he said, adding, “Since Iranian films have become popular these days, we plan to buy some of them for distribution elsewhere. We are interested in family movies,” he said.
The 35th Fajr International Film Festival is hosting some 177 filmmakers, directors, and producers, representing 92 Iranian and international film companies and distribution networks
This year’s event takes place in Tehran from April 21-28.
